Great Britain employer notice for redundancy, not employee resignation or summary dismissal. Contractual notice may be longer. Pay shown is weekly pay multiplied by notice, before tax; statutory pay protections during absence, benefits, pension contributions and payment-in-lieu terms need separate assessment.

Calculation details
Statutory minimum
For employer redundancy notice, service of one month to under two years gives at least one week. From two years there is one week per full year, capped at 12 weeks. A longer contractual period takes precedence.
Example
Five complete years of service gives five weeks’ statutory notice. A four-week contractual clause cannot reduce that. At £600 a week, simple gross notice pay is £3,000 before tax.
Limits
Not a resignation or dismissal-rights calculator. Summary dismissal, sickness and statutory leave pay protections, benefits, pensions and payment-in-lieu terms need separate assessment. Use the contract’s actual week equivalent if it specifies calendar months.
